Ridley High School is in Folsom, Pennsylvania. Folsom is on the southwestern border of Philadelphia. The Ridley Ice Hockey program began in 1973. The team has competed in the Inter County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) since its inception. The Raiders field teams at the following levels:  High School Varsity & JV, Middle School and Elementary.  Currently there are 68 players and 8 coaches involved in the program. The Elementary and Middle School teams compete in the DELCO School Hockey League (DSHL) based at Ice Works in Aston.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our FootballMania Fundraiser a success!!

FootballMania is an exciting sweepstakes fundraiser based on professional football. All sweepstakes game cards have an equal chance to win prize money based on the performance of the random football teams printed on the back. Game cards contain 3 random teams in each of the last 10 weeks of the pro football season (you get 3 new teams each week). To play the game, participants simply add up the points scored by their 3 teams. Every week, the 25 highest scoring game cards and the 5 lowest scoring game cards all win prizes. In addition, two grand prizes are awarded at the end of the season. There are 4,960 unique game cards, each of which has a minimum 1 in 17 chance to win a prize during the season. Varsity - Tuesday, 27 February 2019 - Central Division Playoffs - Round 1

Ridley 3, Haverford 2 - Sixth seed Ridley upsets third seed Haverford 3 – 2 as the Raiders will now move on to play number two seed Conestoga Wednesday night at 6:30PM at Ice Line. Box score

Junior Varsity - Friday, 11 October 2019

Sun Valley 4, Ridley 3 - Danny Kirsch opened the scoring early in the first with an assist from Evan Viola, and Eric Davis added one (unassisted) late in the first. The Raiders held a 2-1 lead going into the second period, and Owen McGuire scored (assisted by Johnny Modesti). However, the Raiders lost the hard fought battle in the second, and with no scoring in the third, the Sun Valley squad took the 4-3 win. Luke Dooley had an excellent night, stopping 26 of 30 shots. Ryan Duffield stopped 20 of 23 shots for the Vanguards.

Middle School - Friday, 29 March 2019

Ridley 10, Penncrest 3 - The Middle School Team advanced to the Championship Round of the playoffs with a decisive 10-3 win over Penncrest. Devin Hoban led all scorers with a hat trick! Johnny Modesti, Gabby Bissell, Connor Gluck, Colin Huppman and Joey Cicala also lit the lamp. The highlight of the night was Tyler Lavin scoring his first Ridley goal. Way to go, Tyler!  Christian Forcillo was stellar between the pipes, stopping 17 of 20 shots!

Elementary - Wednesday, 03 April 2019

Ridley 9, Kingsway 7 -  The Ridley Elementary Team played their hearts out to a 9-7 playoff victory tonight over #1 ranked Kingsway to go 2-0 in this year’s playoffs. Brody Orr led the team with 5 goals & 2 assists, Braydon Wharton had three goals, Ryan Jackson had 1 goal & 2 assists, and Kevin Fox had an assist. Keith McLaughlin stood strong between the iron and stopped 25 of 32 shots by Kingsway. An overall GREAT team effort!

Next up for the Raiders — they will play the winner of the Penncrest / Lower Merion matchup on Monday, 08 April 2019 @7:30pm on Rink 4.
